Meadowside exceeded our expectations and is by far, the nicest holiday accommodation we have experienced. The bungalow was clean, extremely well-equipped and very comfortable. Superb, peaceful location; ideal for exploring The Lizard. Wine and milk in the fridge on arrival-very welcome. Large enclosed garden ideal for al fresco dining and loved by our dogs (when it wasn’t too hot)!
Thank you Fiona and Simon for sharing this gem 🐾
We spent four nights at Meadowside at the beginning of November. Cury is a small hamlet about a mile from the fantastic Poldhu Cove and another mile on the other side of the Cove is Mullion. Helston is the nearest town but Falmouth is only a few miles away. The bungalow is set is a cul-de-sac of about 8 similar properties, all very quiet. We took our dog with us and the garden which is fully secure, was perfect for him. Whilst the outside of the bungalow is a little tired the inside is lovely. The bedrooms are beautifully furnished, the lounge comfy and the kitchen has pretty much everything you are likely to need. If you are lucky to have some sun the conservatory is an added bonus. If not then the heating keeps the place very cosy. We come to this area as often as we can and so we would definitely return to Meadowside.
Spent a lovely week here using it as a base for exploring the gorgeous area nearby. We were here with our very energetic Sprocker Spaniel Tico who had great fun charging around the lovely, large, enclosed garden!! The bungalow is very comfortable with all the comforts of home...having a dishwasher and washing machine was a godsend! The conservatory is a proverbial sun trap and to have lovely table and chairs in the garden to enjoy the peace and quiet and sunshine and of course a cider or 2 was a real bonus... Will certainly return....and the welcome of milk, wine and flowers was a lovely touch. Thank you so much to Fiona and Simon!
hell und freundlich, gemütlich, sauber, voll ausgestattet, netter großer Garten, es fehlte an nichts, Lage ruhig und viel frische luft,
Translation: 'bright and friendly , cozy, clean , fully equipped , nice big garden , nothing was missing , location quiet and lots of fresh air
Really nice cottage. Nicely decorated and spotlessly clean inside. We took our dog and he had a really big garden to run around with. On a cul-de-sac so nice and quite. We ate in most evenings and the kitchen had everything we needed and there is a big Sainsbury's not too far away. I'd recommend Mullions Cove as a beautiful little harbour and then a walk along the cliff tops. We would definitely stay here again!
'We had a great time at Meadowside, it is such a gorgeous bungalow, very comfortable and homely. We were lucky to get the first week of the springtime weather and enjoyed visiting all the Coves, harbours and towns in the surrounding area. Thanks again for the lovely scones, jam and cream (yum, yum)!!! And flowers what a thoughtful touch'.
'We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay and the weather was very kind to us! It was like a home from home, clean and comfortable and an ideal base to visit the many attractions Cornwall has to offer. I only gripe, that we didn't have enough time to do all we would have liked!!'
'We had a great time, Meadowside was great, with plenty of room inside and plenty of outdoor space for the boys to play. Poldhu Cove proved to be a favourite with the lads for bodyboarding and the attendence of the lifeguards adds to a more relaxing holiday.
The quality of all the amenities at Meadowside was excellent and it's in a good position for accessing the rest of the Lizard, Penzance and beyond. Hopefully we'll see You both again in the not too distant future.' Mr E, Leicester - August 2010
'We had a lovely time, the bungalow was perfect. Have been recommending the location/accommodation as it was in such a convenient position for so much'.
'We had a great stay in Meadowside. The bungalow is equipped with everything you
would like to have for a lazy holiday. The additional service delivered by the owners is outstanding.
We definitely would recommend a stay at Meadowside to anybody who would like to discover Cornwall.'
