Local Area
Cadgwith is a picturesque fishing village with whitewashed thatched cottages lining the sides of the valley and a small fleet of colourful fishing boats winched up on the shingle beach. The fact that the boats are still in use and the local pub (The Cadgwith Cove Inn) is renowned for it's singing of Cornish songs of a Friday evening is testament to the traditional character of this village still being alive and well. The village also has a thriving gig club. Cadgwith featured in the film'Ladies in Lavender'.
The cove has two beaches - the fishing beach where you can watch the daily activities of the fishermen. A small rocky outcrop called the Todden separates this from the adjacent (swimming) beach. TheSouth West Coastal Pathleads from either side of the Cadgwith, with magnificent views.
As seen in Monty Hall's 2012 series: 'The Fisherman's Apprentice'
